US GOVERNMENT SHUT DOWN MAJOR POKER SITES
The latest news today has rocked the poker world with the US Govenment shutting down 3 of the major poker sites for US players. Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and Absolute Poker are no longer able to accept players from the US.
PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker were closed down by the US Government and the FBI on Friday 15th April. The US federal grand jury in a case that seek at least $3billion in forteitures and penalties. In addition, restraining orders were issued against 76 different bank accounts and payment processors who were named in the Department of Justice's recently unsealed indictment.
This will not affect players outside of the US.
